About Us
Salem Orphanage Ministries (SOM) is a Christian not-for-profit community-based organization domiciled in Kisumu, Kenya, with an
orphanage home in Bondo, Siaya County. It was registered in 1998
under the ministry of social services...
Our Programs
The home currently accommodates 124 children from age 1 to 18
years, with 83 boys and 41 girls. Besides sheltering the children, the
home provides them with nutritious meals, clothing, spiritual
support, counseling, recreation and medical care.
Our Impact
Our programs positively impact both direct and indirect beneficiaries.
Our direct beneficiaries include the young and the old (orphans,
destitute children, single parents, widows, elderly men and the sick). At
the moment we are surrogating 124 children...
